Betty Lise Anderson

Betty Lise Anderson works in optics and photonics, particularly in free-space systems for optical computing, optical signal processing, and optical interconnections. She co-authored a textbook in semiconductor physics. She got her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Vermont in 1990, after working in industry for nine years. She is a Senior Member of the IEEE and Optical Society of America, and member of ASEE and SPIE. She was also the recipient of the Outstanding Woman in Technology Award from TechColumbus in 2005
